So This month was the ISPO trade show in Munich, and to just put it in perspective if you haven’t been, it is about 5 times bigger then SIA was this year. It was very alive with the usual bright colors, big crowds, and lots of walking.  Of course all the brats and Redbulls sure help us get through it. (more…)

Spyder Active Sports, Inc. has sold Cloudveil Mountain Works to Windsong Brands LLC, a private equity firm based in Westport, CT. Jim Reilly, the former COO of the North Face as well as Adidas America, becomes Cloudveil’s president. The transition of ownership is effective February 16. All intellectual property and assets are part of the acquisition deal. Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed. (more…)

Kevin Pearce, one of the nicest guys in snowboarding, was injured Dec. 31, 2009 while training in the halfpipe at Park City Mountain Resort. “Kev continues to maintain his stable condition with some positive signs.
